Welcome to my new website, dedicated to my Love Songs Project. It is being launched at an exciting moment, when the results of my Love Song Composing Competition are about to be announced. The names of the winning piece and two runners up in both the Over-25 and Under-25 categories will be posted on my Facebook page, on my own website, and on this one on Tueday. With over 500 entries, the judging process has taken several months. My fellow judges, Judith Weir, Piers Hellawell, Bernard Hughes, Howard Skempton and I have up to this point only seen the submitted pieces with numbers attached. Now, having made our final decisions and agreed on the six selected pieces, we have at last been allowed to discover who had written them and where the composers came from. All will be revealed tomorrow!
